3 Mar 1787 - 18 May 1865. Aged 78 Years 2 Months and 15 Days. (daughter of Chesley Coffey Jr., & Margaret Baldwin Coffee, who are interred in the Chesley Coffee Graves across the hill to the northeast 8/10 of a mile.)

TURNBOW, William Clairborne,
dates unknown, Son of James & Felicia Coffee Turnbo, married Jane Mathis. William & Jane went first to Texas and from there to Powhatan, Arkansas. There William died leaving four children. Jane, his wife, 1st he was buried then his wife had his body exhumed and brought back to Maury County where he was buried here in the old Turnbo Cemetery in an unmarked grave.

In the various records this name is interchangeable spelled as Turnbow or Turnbo. Since I cannot tell which is correct I do not make a clear distinction here. [CWA]

 James (Turnbough)Turnbo was the son of John Andrew and Margaret Turnbo. He married Felicia Coffee on 4 April 1811 in Maury County Tennessee. James and Felicia had these children: Nathan, William Claiborne, Margaret Polly, Gracie M., James Coffee, Andrew J., Elizabeth, Nancy A. and Mary L. Turnbo. He was the grandfather of Silas Claiborne Turnbo who wrote many stories about life in the Ozarks of Arkansas.

Andrew H Turnbow, Jr born 1827, was the son of Andrew Sr. & Gracie Coffee Turnbow. Andrew Turnbow Sr. was born 1779 in SC. James Turnbow was born 1780 in SC, was the baby brother of Andrew Turnbow, Sr. My ancestor George Turnbow, Sr. born 1766 SC, was another one of James and Andrew Sr.'s 10 brothers.
