There are 30+ upright fieldstones marking graves in this cemetery. We must ask ourselves what brought all these people to be buried high upon that hill top, most of them without memorial stones. They were mostly kinfolk. I can see the possibility of religious influence also in that the Christian Church was very strong in the early years here, and still is. That is another bond for a common influence for determining a burial place for these early settlers. [WA 4/24/08]
