Residential development was in full progress all around when I was there. This is a beautiful rare old cemetery. It is a different day for it being at the top of a tall hill high above and surrounded by new residential homes. Lets hope someone there adopts the cemetery and properly cares for it. [F.L.H. 1987 note: This cemetery is located in a grove of ancient Oak, Magnolia, Spruce and Walnut Trees.]  [W.A. 2009 The Spruce Tree is there but dead the Magnolia is still healthy and the Walnut Trees have died. The Oaks are still in place, at least some of them. ]

This publication is based on an on-site visit to the Wade Cemetery 24 Feb 2009 by Wayne Austin. The cemetery was photographed complete, but as noted one stone that of Fountain Wade Bond was missing and may be below the ground though probing did not locate it.
