and Margaret Neil.)

HUNTER, Mayme
, 26 May 1896 - 26 Mar 1920. (Wife J. Norris.; Maymie Alta, born 2 Nov 1894 in Maury Co., died 26 Mar 1920, daughter of M. T. Sharp and Elizabeth Hardison; died of influenza and pneumonia.

HUNTER, J. N., Jr.
, 22 Feb 1919 - 25 Feb 1919. "Son of J. N. & Mayme Hunter."

This small cemetery is nicely fenced, but in beginning to show minor signs of neglect. Mr Fred says it offers one of the best hill top views in the county. I could not see that due to the growth of tall trees obstructing the view since his visit in 1986. 

Brief history of the John M. Hunter family

JOHN M. HUNTER, 1863 - 1945, came to Maury County from Williamson County, & married Alice Hays, daughter of Davis K. and Minerva (Jackson) Hays. Alice died in 1904 and Mr. Hunter then married Dovie Belle Neil, who passed away in 1916. He then married Mary C., 1876 - 1946, (maiden name unknown). Mr. Hunter and Mary C. are buried in Rose Hill Cemetery Columbia Tennessee, Block "P".
