ESTES, James D., 25 Oct 1848 - 20 Jun 1907.
Mr. James D. Estes, one of the prominent citizens of the Mt. Pleasant neighborhood, died Wednesday night at his home. Mr. Estes had been in ill health for the past year. He was a man of strong mind, a devoted member of the Methodist church and a good citizen in every respect. He is survived by his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Robert Jennings, Misses Mary and Nolie Estes, and two sons, Wilburn and Russell. The funeral services were at the Methodist church at Mt. Pleasant Friday and interment was in the family graveyard. Columbia Herald, Fri., 28 June 1907.
