(These HARRIS graves are enclosed in a massive rock wall and the whole place was grown up enough that I made the mistake of believing these were the only graves in this cemetery. Next trip to the area I will correct this mistake.)

The graves inside the stone wall are well protected but the area outside, where most of the graveyard is located, does not have any protection from the cattle that are pastured in the surrounding fields. Most of the stones are now toppled and many broken. Few of the many fieldstones are now in place. 

Transcribed mostly from Maury County Tennessee Cemeteries, visited 13 Feb 1987 by Fred Lee Hawkins, Jr., published on page 251. Information also listed in the book, They Passed This Way about 1967, page B-4.  The Crosby-Harrris Cemetery has been partially surveyed by Wayne Austin 8 Apr 2009. On that April day the plant growth had already sprouted up enough to cover any visible evidence of other memorial. Another visit will take place someday to survey the area outside the rock wall.
