CHEAIRS CEMETERY,  (Spring Hill), MAURY COUNTY TENNESSEE

The Cheairs Plantation Home (Rippavilla) & Cemetery.

Go south of Spring Hill a mile or so and turn left into the Rippavilla (old Cheairs) Plantation home lane. You probably will want to tour the home, but also stop and get permission & instructions to visit the cemetery. The cemetery is about a mile behind and to the east of the home, along the road, as you pass other historical sites. All this is part of a grand historic tour. The plantation home is one of the most historic sites in middle Tennessee. It was purchased as a part of the land holdings of the Saturn Automobile Plant by GM,  but may have been spun off since the original transaction.

CHEAIRS, Nathaniel, b. in Queen Anne Co., Md. 4 Jan 1764; d. Marshall Co., Miss. on 2 Oct 1846. (82-9-29.
CHEAIRS, Sarah Rush, consort of Nathaniel Cheairs, b. A.D. 1778, d. 26 Jun 1858 (or 6).
CHEAIRS, Benjamine F., 16 Apr 1798 - d. 2 Jul 1824. Aged 26 years 2 months & 16 days.
CHEAIRS, Doctor James H., 9 Mar 1802 - 27 Dec 1836. Aged 34 years 9 months & 18 days.
CHEAIRS, Sarah Rush, d. 13 Sep 1845. Aged 2 years 3 months & 10 days. "Dau. J.W. & S.T. Cheairs."
CHEAIRS, Infant daughter of J.W. & S.T., died 25 Jan 1842. aged 1 day.
CHEAIRS, Unknown footstone.

Memorial to those unknown souls transferred or reburied here from Haynes Haven.
