CALDWELL, (Dr.) St. Clair F., 22 Apr 1793 - 3 Jan 1856. "Born in East Tennessee." (brother of Ann Caldwell. She was the wife of James Hannah. The Hannahs' are interred in the Hannah-Yokley Cemetery in Giles County. Ann Caldwell and Dr. St. Clair Caldwell had another Maury County brother who was Silas M. Caldwell. He married Lydia Polk, sister of President James K. Polk. Someday I hope to find where Silas and Lydia are buried [Beverly Hannah Jones]).
CALDWELL, Mary Moore, 28 Aug 1809 - 9 Jan 1878. "Wife of Dr. St. Clair F.  Caldwell; daughter of Henry Pointer."
CALDWELL, James Henry, died 25 Apr 1843. Aged 3 years 10 months & 27 days.
POINTER, Martha Jane, 12 Dec 1823 - 12 Oct 1857. ( 23-10.) (Wife of Henry Pointer & daughter of St. Clair F. Caldwell.)
STOCKARD, Ann Elizabeth, 15 Oct 1833 - 6 Dec 1865. "The dutiful, beloved and affectionate wife of M. L. (Martin Luther) Stockard."

As you can see this cemetery is well kept and on the "Historic Tour of Rippavilla Plantation". Is a noteworthy visit.

This Caldwell family or at least their relatives mixed with the Crockett Family of the famous pioneer Davy Crockett in East Tennessee. Davy eventually came thru middle Tennessee and so other Crockett & Caldwell pioneers also came west into Middle Tennessee. My ancestor Robert Crockett who settled in Giles County Tennessee and died there and is interred in the Elkridge Cemetery was one of those, but it is believed he came thru South  Carolina. Robert Crockett inherited land from brother David Crockett (not Davy, who I believe was a nephew) of Bibb County Ga. It is thought Robert & David migrated to Ga. Robert then went on to Giles County, Tn.  and David became a land trader and eventually died in Ga..
