PURDUE CEMETERY, (Enterprise Road)  MAURY COUNTY TENNESSEE

This cemetery was on Enterprise Rd., on farm owned by Mr. Charlie Murphy. No trace of graves remain (1962 & therefore no mapping is provided)
Taken from "They Passed This Way" Murphy bought the farm from Purdue. Purdue (Pardue) expressed wishes were to be buried on a hill on his old place. His wishes were carried out. His widow kept a dowry after the farm sold to Murphy. Mrs. Held (nee Murphy) said her father kept a fence around grave during his lifetime. As translated by C. Wayne Austin, 2011.
