YOUNG, Inman Jr., 28 Aug 1921 - 18 Jun 1945, Native of Maury County Tn. interred in Atmore Alabama. 
INMAN YOUNG, JR., Dies at Norfolk, Rites To Be Here 
The Navy has informed Mr. and Mrs. Inman Young, 1013 South Main Street, that their son, Inman Young, Jr., 23, 
yeoman first class, U. S. Navy died at 10 o'clock this morning at the Norfolk, VA., naval hospital. The announcement 
did not give the cause of his death. Funeral arrangements have not been made but burial will be here. Young was
 born and reared in Maury County and was a graduate of Culleoka High School and Columbia Business College. He was 
employed by the Department of Interior at Washington, D.C. before entering the Navy September 19, 1942. He was a 
member of the First Presbyterian Church. Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife, Mrs. Florence Earl Young, 
of Florence, Ala,; two sisters, Mrs. Edwin Mack and Miss Marjorie Young, of Columbia, and two brothers, James 
L. and Jerry Martin Young, of Columbia. 
Oaks and Nichols is in charge of the arrangements. 
He was in fact not buried in Columbia. He is buried in Atmore, AL. There was a big family fued over it. 
He was killed in an explosion on the Navy base.
