W.H. Dozier Dies in Chapel Hill

Chapel Hill, Tenn., March 11 - (Spl).- W.H. Dozier, 73 died this morning at his home in this place. He was one of the most prominent citizens of this community and a retired farmer. He was a member of the Methodist church and on the board of stewards.
Just two weeks ago his daughter, Mrs. Mary Sue Dozier Jones, who upset a can of coal oil in a hot range and was fatally burned, was buried.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sallie Powell Jones Dozier; one son, Howard Dozier of Washington D.C.; three daughters, Mrs. L. W. Beauchamp of Amory, Miss.; Mrs. Hettie Dozier Leeson, of Knoxville; and Miss Sammie Dozier, of Chapel Hill; one brother E.L. Dozier; two sister, Mrs. N. O. Thompson and Mrs. C. E. Williams, all of Shelbyville; two step daughters, Mrs. Mary Helen Jones Powell of Washington, D.C., and Mrs. Ruby Jane Osteen of Rockingham, N.C.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at the Methodist church by Rev. W. A. Stroud and burial will be in Swanson cemetery.
