Funeral services for William Franklin Coffey, 47, a resident of 106 Bel-Air Drive, were conducted at 10 a.m. today at the Oakes and Nichols Funeral Home with the Rev.
George Anderson, minister of the St. Luke's United Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial was in the Glenwood Cemetery at Southport.

Mr. Coffey died unexpectedly Saturday morning in Nashville after becoming ill.
A native of Lynnville, he was a son of Mrs. Lillian Duncan Coffey of Columbia who survives and the late Marvin Young Coffey.
Mr. Coffey was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Air Force. He was an employee of Dupont Company, working in the finishing area. On January 6, 1951, he was married to the former Dixie Gauntt who survives. He was a member of the St. Luke's United Methodist Church.
Survivors in addition to his wife and mother include one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Lynne) Harrell, Jr., of Nashville, one son, Tillman Coffey of Coeur D'Alene. Idaho; two sisters,
Mrs. U. S. (Ella) Stevens and Mrs. J. E. (Marguere) Parker both of Bartow, Florida: one brother, L. M. Coffey of Columbia; one grandson, Christopher Coffey of Coeur
D'Alene, Idaho; and three step grandchildren, Craig, Jeff and Jane Selle.
Active pallbearers were Ulna Fox, Frank Duncan, James Haskins. Carlton Woody, James McFarland, Jr., Homer Wiley, Clayton Jeff and Ray Vandiver.
Honorary pallbearers were Gilley Truelove and the employees of the Finishing Area at the DuPont Company.
