PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH CEMETERY-MAURY COUNTY TENNESSEE
I
am Mary Robert McClain Richardson daughter of Robert Matthew McClain and Helen
Cook McClain. I was born and raised in Maury Co., graduated from Hay Long High
School, Mt Pleasant Tennessee in 1964-65. Came to Birmingham, Jefferson Co., Alabama in June of 1971
and been here ever since. My father went to be with the Lord Feb 23, 2003 and is gravely
missed. My mother lives in Mt. Pleasant and at one time ran the James K. Polk
Rest in Columbia, back in the day. She was also the Rest Manager of the Graymere
County Club, and Grandmother's Kitchen just off the Interstate 65 on Bear Creek
Pike. She is retired now. My sister's name is Elizabeth Bradburn and her husband is
James Bradburn owner of the Jenkins Log House in Mt. Pleasant and the old Hight farm
on Hwy 50 about 1/2 mile from Interstate 65 in Maury Co. My mother owns the
house on Hay Long that was built in the mid 1800's. The first reunion of the
Maury Co. C.S.A. Vets was held on the front lawn of the house. The same spot
where the first volunteers signed up to join the C.S.A. She has the reunion
picture.
