JONES, David R., 4 Nov 1949 - 3 Sep 2013. (s/o Guy Miller and Hope Brown Jones.)

David R. Jones, 63, farmer and resident of Goodman Lane in Hampshire, died Tuesday, September 3, 2013 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

A graveside service will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 P.M. at Worley Cemetery with Brother David Davidson officiating. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 12:00 - 1:30 P.M. at Cathey's Creek Church of Christ. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are assisting the family with arrangements.

The Hohenwald native was born November 4, 1949 to the late Guy Miller Jones and Hope Brown Jones. He was a 1967 graduate of Hampshire High School and enjoyed raising beef cattle. He was a member of Cathey's Creek Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife of twenty-five years, Linda Morrison Jones of Hampshire; step daughter, Kenda (Stacy) Polk of Santa Fe; two sisters, Era Pryne (Charles) Pruitt of Mt. Pleasant; Rebecca (Joe) Duncan of Hampshire; three brothers, Jonathan (Marti) Jones, Mark (Nancy) Jones, and Luke Jones, all of Hampshire; brother-in-law, George Jones of Spring Hill; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Active pallbearers will be Paul Whiteside, Timmy Flowers, Wayne Jones, Michael Jones, Jon Paul Jones, and Earl Cathey. Honorary pallbearers will be Jonathan Jones, Mark Jones, Luke Jones, and Bobby Lee Runions.
