BROOKS, Jimmy Ray, 9 Jan 1940 - 5 Feb. 2015.
Jimmy Ray Brooks, age 75 of Lewisburg, Tennessee, passed away at his daughter�s
home in Hickman County. Jimmy was born to the late Thomas and Mary Hann Brooks
on January 9, 1940 in Maury County. He worked at Lewisburg, Columbia, and Giles
County Co-op, from where he retired after 25 years of hard work. He was also
employed at Waste Management. He liked to be outside working, and loved football
and watching the news. He also loved being with his friends and helping them. He
enjoyed meeting his friends at the Burger King of Lewisburg for coffee and
breakfast. The family will gather with friends on Sunday, February 8, 2015 from
4:00-8:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia. Funeral services will be
conducted Monday, February 9, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Ernie Farmer
officiating. Burial will follow at Worley Cemetery in Hampshire. Family and
friends will serve as pallbearers. Mr. Brooks is survived by his daughter, Lori
(Keith) Grimes of Lyles, Tennessee; two sisters, Velma Moore of Culleoka and
Ruby Scott of Columbia; three grandchildren, Brianna Boshers of Columbia, Dustin
(Mindy) Boshers of Summertown, Quinton (Hollie) Boshers of Lynnville; and six
great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. He is also survived by
his special friends, Murray Talley, Jake Whitehead, James Whitehead, Hazel
Davidson, Mammie Osborne, Ernie and Jan Farmer, Brenda Collins, Martha Ann
Thomason, and many, many more. The family would like to express a special thanks
to Dr. John Maloof, The Oncology staff of Williamson Medical Center, Avalon
Hospice of Murfreesboro, and Avalon Hospice of Dickson
