The Simeon Cummings CSA memorial off to the east of the main cemetery on our right.

CUMMINGS, Simeon W., 3 Asst Eng., CSS Alabama, Confederate States Army, 31 Aug 1863, Saldanha Bay, Republic of South Africa, C.S.A. Cross of Honor. There has to be quite a story behind this stone but I am unaware of it. [WA 12/4/2007]
