BARLAR, Ophelia, 1885 - 1905. Sister. (Daughter of Alfred Jordan & Susan Frances Lawhorn Barlar). This family lived on what is now Preacher (Albert) Holt Road near Screamer. Ophelia died of a undiagnosed stomach condition. She was the only daughter among four brothers, Cornelius Brown, John Cahal, Thomas Jefferson & Isaac Leonard Sr.. Her mother preceded her in death and her father remarried about 1890 to Martha Hollingsworth. Her father and stepmother are buried in Arlington Cemetery, Mt Pleasant Tennessee. Her mother is interred in Giles County, Phelps Cemetery in an unmarked grave but with a memorial set up in the nearby Gibson Cemetery (Yokley Community) in Giles County.
