WILSON, William B., 31 Dec 1821 - 24 Mar 1906.  (William Bradshaw Wilson; C.S.A. Clack's 3rd Tn. Inf. Co. B.: Wife #1, Sarah E. McCarty, child: Edmund D. Wilson; Wife #2, Izora C. Hamilton, d. in childbirth; wife #3 Eliza Rebecca Kimbell (buried in Kimbell Cemetery Morgan Co. Al.), children: William Hamilton, James K., Wife #4, Louisa B. Wilkins, Wife #5, Sarah "Sallie" Lester, d. in childbirth, Wife #6, Julia McCaw: Note: "one of the oldest citizens of Columbia, if not the oldest, died at 12:30 today at home of son, W.H. Wilson, on South Garden St, age 85. At age 17 he was appointed deputy sheriff under his relative Nimrod Porter and served many years; 1866 he was circuit court clerk and was elected several times; in 1869 was member of General Assemby. Married six times; had fund of stories and anecdotes about Columbia." (D.H., 24 Mar 1906) Block "L"
