Farris Byrd was married 2 or 3 times.
His last wife was my (Ruth Walsh) extended cousin who was Flossie Woodrow
Kirkland, widow of James Elmer �Cotton � Hill (they also are buried Rose Hill).
I have her obituary somewhere (in a box) but have to find it. Flossie was the
daughter of Edward Jerome Kirkland and Catherine Eugenia Eubank. The Kirklands'
are buried Anthony Cemetery, Giles Co., TN.

Farris Roy "Son" Byrd, a resident of Whatley Street, died Saturday at the
Maury County Hospital following an illness of several months.
A native of Madison County, Ky., he was the son of the late Burn and Ida Byrd
and a veteran of World War II.
Funeral services were conducted today at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Burial
was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife (Flossie Woodrow Kirkland), daughter Mrs. Barbara Ann
Driver, Ringgold, GA, and two grandchildren. Tina and Mike Cobb, both of Texas.
Active pallbearers were Douglas Oliver, Jessie Perry, Kenneth Brown, Glynn
Harris, Johnnie Wynn, Otis Jernigan, Gary Dungy, Walter Fitzgerald and O.J.
Ingram.
