Mrs. Gilbreath Dies Following Extended Illness
Mrs. Mary Lou Horn Gilbreath, 81, widow of Carl C. Gilbreath and a longtime resident of the Campbellsville Pike, died early last night at the Maury County Hospital following an extended illness.
Funeral services were to be conducted at 2 p.m. today at the Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. The Rev. H. R. Allen and the Rev. Burns P. Drake officiated. Burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
A native of Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Jasper and Rachel Agnes Galloway Horn. She had been a member of the Glennwood Cumberland Presbyterian Church for many years. She was a graduate of the old Tennessee College for Women at Murfreesboro.
Her husband, a prominent farmer and businessman, died July 24, 1950. He was one of the founders and the former president of the Columbia Rock Products Corp.
There are no immediate survivors.
Honorary pallbearers were Wayne Pressnell, R. L . Harris, Dr. Carl Gardner, Dr. William Fuqua, Ed Mathews, Abb Walters, Alvin Perry, Ralph Mathews and J. D. Matthews.
