COX, W.J., 26 Aug 1839 - 5 Jun 1907. (C.S.A. Cross. MCTC; (C.S.A., Cross.; WILLIAM JAMES COX, was born near Mt. Pleasant, Tn. on 25 Aug 1839 into the home of John and Martha Evans Cox. He was married to Miss Susan Jane Davis, also of Maury County on 18 Jan 1859 and to them was born one daughter. During the War Between the States Mr. Cox served in Co. D., 3rd Tenn. Infantry--the famed Bigby's Grays. He died in 1907. MCTC). Buried ROSE HILL CEMETERY. There were two W. J. COX. One serving in the 3rd (Clack's) Regiment, Tennessee Infantry, Co. D, Confederate side, rank in Pvt rank out Pvt. The other served in the 11th Tn Inf. Co. K, rank in Sgt. rank out Sgt. No records were found matching this search criteria.
