Funeral services will
be held at the West Seventh Street Church of Christ here for
Mrs. Angie McKee Burns,
78, of 805 School Street, who was killed almost instantly yesterday morning in
the auto accident north of Franklin in which
Mr. and Mrs. Ernest
Tankersley also met
death, and Mrs. Burns' daughter, Mrs. Paul Hawkins of Columbia, was critically
injured. Mrs. Burns was born and reared in Columbia and spent her entire
lifetime here. She was a member from early life of the Church of Christ. Besides
Mrs. Hawkins, she is survived by a son, Jasper E. Burns of Gary, Indiana, a
brother, Will C. McKee of Nashville, and a sister, Mrs. D. L. Beasley of
Humboldt. She is also survived by her step-daughters, Mrs. Beulah Jones of
Nashville, Mrs. Evron Jenkins of Tampa, and Mrs. Aultia Foster, of Alega,
Florida, and by a step-son, Herman Burns, of Gary, Indiana. The Williams Funeral
Home is in charge of arrangements.
