Obituary
Gerry Dwight Ervin, age 54, a resident East Sheepneck Road in Culleoka, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2013.
Funeral services will be Sunday, February 10, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Dwain Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Rock Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, February 9, 2013 from 4:00 � 7:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of the arrangements.
A native of Columbia, Gerry was born on May 22, 1958 to the late Herman and Lula Mae Ervin. He was of the Baptist faith and worked as a farmer. Gerry served our country in the Army National Guard. He loved working on heavy equipment and enjoyed being with his family.
He is survived by his fianc�, Sara Wray; daughters: Sandra (William) Butler of Amory, MS, Brittany (R.J.) Smitherman of Amory, MS, Kelsey Ervin of Columbia; brothers: Larry (Shirley) Collins of Kansas; Charles Ervin of Cornersville, TN; Alfred (Sandra) Ervin of Santa Fe, Mike (Anita) Ervin of Columbia; sister, Sheila Holt of Lewisburg; and two grandchildren: Savannah Butler and Camian Ervin.
In addition to his parents, Gerry was preceded in death by two brothers: Chester Ervin, Wade Collins; sister, Patricia Bishop, and sister-in-law, Phyllis Ervin.
Pallbearers will be Mike Fox, Brandon Holt, Joe Holt, Dennis Posey, Stephen Finley, Jr., and Joey Ervin.
