REDDING CEMETERY, CULLEOKA MAURY COUNTY, TENNESSEE

REDDING, Armistead: Descendents say that he was buried here. He was believed to be the first pioneer in Culleoka area. He and Polly migrated from Woodford or Fayett County, Kentucky about 1807. In 1810, he was a founding member of Friendship Baptist Church in Culleoka a couple of miles northeast of here. Bio by Wayne Austin. No tombstone found.

Born to Joseph and Ann (Weakley) Redding. Siblings include: Sara (born 1778 in Virginia), Felix (Born June 23, 1782 in Virginia), Carroll, Eli, Joseph Jr., John, Robert, and Jane.

Married Polly "Mary" (Paxton) in 1804. Polly had a child named Maggie E. Tomlinson. Children born to Armistead and Polly Redding include:
