Willadean Wright Church, 70, died Friday, January 30, 2009 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral services at Oakes & Nichols with Eddie Rogers officiating.  Burial in Polk Memorial Gardens.

The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Willard and Susie Staggs Wright of Mt. Pleasant. She was a graduate of Hay Long High School and St. Thomas School of Nursing.

Mrs. Church pursued a nursing career spanning 38 years, during which she worked at St. Thomas Hospital, Maury Regional Medical Center, and in the office of Dr. Joel Hargrove. She completed her long career with NHC where she retired from home health care which was her passion.

Survivors include her beloved and devoted husband of 28 years, Herbert C. Church of Columbia; son, Mark (Geraldine) Amis of Shady Grove; step-sons, Herbert Church, Jr., Bill (Jan) Church, and John (Brenda) Church, all of Columbia; grandchildren, Sarah Amis, Katie Amis, Herbie Church, Josh Church, Corey (Alison) Church, Joey (Leigh Anne) Church, Justin Church, Kelli Church; great-grandchildren, Kyleigh Amis, Landon Church, Jeremy Church, Hope Church, Trey Church, Cooper Church; loving nieces and nephews, Dale �"Bubbie�" Barnes, Ron Barnes, Vickie (Byron) Steward, Mike (Duane) Barnes, Kim (David) Sharpton; great-nephews, Will Steward, Clay Barnes; brother-in-law, John Church of Columbia; and beloved pets, Heinee and Jaci. She was preceded in death by a sister, M. Sue Barnes and a brother-in-law, Clayton Dale Barnes.
