William Howard "Billy"
Wells, 60, of Columbia, died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2009, at his residence.
Mr. Wells was a native of Marshall County. He was a private contractor who
delivered the Daily Herald for over 20 years. He was a veteran of the Army and a
member of the Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Lila Dean Archer Wells, and
brother, Jerry Wells.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela Kelley Wells; sons, Sam Wells of Florida, and
Mark Wells and Brian (Kerry) Wells, both of Lewisburg; stepchildren, Hank
(Linda) Chatman of Culleoka, Shelia (Donald) Williams of Ethridge, and Adam
(Shelby) Runions of Columbia; sister, Linda Warren, and sister-in-law, Margaret
Willis, both of Lewisburg; one grandchild; and six step-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Wells will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 23,
from the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Bro. Eddie Rogers
officiating, followed by burial in the Pleasant Mount Cemetery with military
honors provided by the US Army.
The pallbearers will be Buddy Warren, Cliff Warren, David Warren, Hank Chatman,
Donald Williams and Adam Runions.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Houston Jamison and staff.
Mr. William Eugene �Bill� Kelley, 80, self-employed painter, died Tuesday,
June 8, 2010 at his residence on Mooresville Pike surrounded by his loving
family.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols
with Jeff Cates officiating. Burial followed in Pleasant Mount Cemetery. The
family visited with friends Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and after 1:00 p.m.
Saturday at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the son of the late English Kelley and Ophelia Davis
Kelley.
Survivors include 4 daughters, Teresa (Terry) Bowman of Culleoka, Janice
(Johnny) Scroggins of Culleoka, Linda (Donnie) King of Pulaski, and Pam Wells of
Pulaski; 4 sons, William �Bill� (Vickie) Kelley of Columbia, William Carroll
Kelley of Clifton, Wayne (Shannon) Kelley of Flint, Michigan, and Wade
(Priscilla Anderson) Kelley; 2 sisters, Norene Eldridge and Rachel Cummins of
Culleoka; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in
death by his wife, Elizabeth Stewart Kelley; and a daughter, Christy Diane
Kelley.
Active pallbearers were Terry Bowman,Sr. Ken Brown, Terry Bowman, Jr., Ryan
Alred, B. J. Robertson, and Douglas Wade Kelley. Honorary pallbearers included
Jack Auville, Billy Clyde Foster, Ray Morrow, and staff of S & K Market.
