BROOKS, Hettie Ridge Cooper, 3 Aug 1861 - 23 Mar 1952.  Hetta Cooper Ridge Brooks was the mother of Mary Little Ridge Cook wife of Ben F. Cook. She was living with her daughter Mary and Ben F. Cook in Sandy Hook when she died. Her brother Tom Cooper, also lived with Ben F. and Mary Cook. Ben F., Tom, and Hetta all died within one week of each other, leaving Mary L. Ridge Cook. Hetta is my GGrandmother. Tom is my GG-Uncle. [MB]

Obituary for Tom J. Cooper
Services were Conducted last Saturday for Tom J. Cooper, 85, who died Friday morning at the home of his niece, Mrs. Ben F. Cook, at Sandy Hook. Mr. Cooper had been ill for about a month. He was a native of Sumner County, a son of the late W.D. Cooper and Elizabeth Smith Cooper, and was a retired miller. Rev. J.K. Knupp, pastor of the First Baptist Church, conducted the rites with interment in Fountain Heights Cemetery, Oakes and Nichols Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Russel Scott, Frank Sutton, Ben F. Cook, Jr., Robert McClain, Hazel Bassham and Dewey Thomas. Mt. Pleasant Record - Apr 1952.
