Biography of  Zurilda "Zoe P." Noles

Zurilda �Zoe� Pennington Noles was born 10 Jan 1866 in Mount Joy, Maury County, Tennessee. She was the daughter of Abraham A. �Abe� Pennington and Mary Jane Beckum. She was number five of eleven children. On 19 Apr 1888 in Maury County, Tennessee she married George H. Noles, son of Tyre Noles and Hellena J. Raines. She was a life-long resident of Maury County. The surname Noles is sometimes spelled Knowles. On the majority of records for Zoe and her husband it is spelled Noles, although her obituary spelled it as Knowles. She was most often called Zoe or Zue. She died Wednesday morning, 26 Mar 1941, at Kings Daughters Hospital in Columbia, Tennessee. Her funeral was held that afternoon at Pisgah Methodist Church. Burial was in the church yard following the service.
