McCAIN'S CUMBERLAND PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH CEMETERY, MAURY COUNTY TENNESSEE 

The Capt. James Madison Sparkman Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy met May 15 at McCain�s Cumberland Presbyterian Church for a grave marking honoring Pvt. Thomas J. Trousdale, 48th Tennessee Infantry, Voorhies Company C, CSA and Cpl. Hiram A. Stockard, 3rd Clack�s Tennessee Infantry, Company D, CSA.

The members then traveled to Reece�s Chapel Church and Cemetery for a grave marking honoring Pvt. Ozni Y. Benderman, Company E, 6th Wheeler�s Tennessee Cavalry, CSA. The services at both sites were organized by Renee Bowser, grave marking chairperson. She was assisted by the president, Patricia Haffner, who welcomed everyone.

Chaplain Barbara Shackelford gave the invocation. Jennie Jo Hardison and Jason Boshers spoke on each soldier and his service. Linda Gupton and Kathy Gibson assisted with the unveiling of the monuments and readings.

The Sons of Confederate Veterans, Capt. William H. Maulkey Camp No. 260, Maj. Nathaniel F. Cheairs Camp No. 2138 and Sam Watkins Camp No. 29 posted the colors, fired the volley and retired the colors.
