Location Map     Glendale, a History

Go south on Culleoka Rd. 1 3/4 miles south of Glendale. Take narrow road right, cross R.R. and enter drive on left beside the Rails. This is the Roy Cherry place (1987) and the cemetery is behind his barn.

DENTON, W. T., 9 Jan 1852 - 11 Mar 1870.
DENTON, Gorda, 23 Mar 1814 - 17 Mar 1864.
HIGHT, Goodman S., 1 Jan 1863 - 29 Sep 1885. (Box tomb.) 
LINDSAY, John, 30 Mar 1768 - 8 Jun 1825. (One of the Commissioners appointed on 4 Dec 1807 to lay off the site of the county seat)
WRIGHT, John S., 27 Dec 1840 - 18 Dec 1869. (Head stone not found. Found Footstone: J. S. W.; Confederate States Army; mar. 1st, Eugenia Jane Denton in 1865; 2nd, Emma Cole Denton in 1868.) 

Fred Lee Hawkins, Jr. says in 1987: Fieldstones and other indications show that this was once a fairly large cemetery but it has now been reduced to a small area.
