RITES TODAY FOR MRS. J. KITTRELL
Member of Pioneer Maury Family Dies in Mt. Pleasant.

Mt. Pleasant, Tenn., Feb, 21 - (Spl)-- Mrs. Sarah Agnes Dobbins Kittrell, 95, grandmother of the mayor of Mt. Pleasant, W.E. Harlan, and one of the oldest women on in the county, died at 8:30 o'clock this morning at the home of her son-in-law, H.G. Harlan, on Hay Long Avenue.
Mrs. Kittrell had been in good health until she had a fall several months ago. Her condition had not been considered critical until about two weeks ago.
For the past 30 years she had made her home with Mr. Harlan.
She was born in Maury County, in Mt. Pleasant and had spent her entire life in
its vicinity, being one of the most widely known women in the county.
She was a member of a pioneer Maury county family, and was a member of the
Presbyterian church, where she was active in missionary and church affairs.
Her husband, Jacob Kittrell, who died in 1887 shortly after the close of the war between the states, was a prominent member of the early Mt. Pleasant community.
Surviving her are a son, E.G. Kittrell, of Mt. Pleasant, and two grandsons,
Mayor Harlan and Harry J. Harlan of Lawrenceburg.
Funeral services will be held at 2'oclock Friday afternoon from the residence,
by the Rev. John S. Thomas. Presbyterian minister. Burial will be at Lawrence
Cemetery.
