The death of Miss Sarah Thompson Wednesday evening of last week at the home of her sister, Mrs. W. N. Fitzgerald, of Carter's Creek, removed one of the most beloved young women from that community and wrought an irreparable loss in the home. Deceased was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Henry Thompson, and had gone to the home of her sister who was sick with influenza, and she was stricken and died. She was 35 years of age, a devoted member and active worker in the Presbyterian church. She is survived by her parents; three brothers, H. M. and E. N. Thompson of Carter's Creek, and E. W. Thompson of Gallatin; three sisters, Mrs. W. N. Fitzgerald and Miss Gertrude Thompson of Carter's Creek, and Mrs. O. M. Harris of Thompson Station. Services were conducted at the Lasting Hope church by Dr. S. D. Logan of Columbia, Thursday afternoon, interment following at Carter's Creek. The following friends acted as pall bearers: Homer, Emsy and Ellis Thompson, Otto and George Harris and Walter Fitzgerald. Maury Undertaking Co., in charge.
