There is a difference in the birth year for James between the above stones and the listings in Old Cathey Cemetery:1788 vs 1782. Perhaps the stones have different dates. This will be addressed when the old Cathey Cemetery is visited, if it can still be found.

James was born November 1782 in Sumner Co. TN, the son of William and Alice H. Cathey. He died April 18, 1832 in Maury County TN. He married Honor Biggs Carsons on January 18, 1810.
Their children were William Stuart Carson Cathey b. 1810; James Decatur "James Dickey" Cathey b. 1815; Alice A. Cathey b. 1823 m. Thomas Moore; Alexander Blair CAthey b. 1826, m.
