The following (below) information was provided
by Juanita "Nita" Nicholson, oldest daughter of Louis Nicholson. She says her
great grand parents (below) are buried without markers in the African American
section of this cemetery:
HARDISON, Sam, No Dates. No Marker (A
former slave on the Humphrey Hardison Farm in the Leftwich Community of Maury
County)
HARDISON, Lettie, No Dates. No Marker
Also, according to Nita, there are over 50 persons unknown, black and white, buried in this cemetery in graves unmarked and/or marked with fieldstones.
This cemetery listing was donated by Wayne Sharp and came from an 1978
listing in his possession. Mr Fred Hawkins in the book Maury County Tennessee
Cemeteries listed this cemetery on page 38. Mr. Fred supposedly visited and transcribed it during
1988. Tombstone photos above by Ruby & Jim Thomas, 2006, sent here 25 May 2012.
