Dr. Gerrard Thomas Greenfield. "He was a native of Virginia, graduate of the University of Transylvania, emigrated to this county from the state of Maryland about the year 1812. Firm believer in Protestant faith." (Epitaph.)
Dr. Greenfield first married Miss Keren T. (Sanford) who died in Jun 1832 (she is interred in Brick Church/Jackson College Cemetery). He then married Mrs. Jane Hawkins Young who died 20 Jan 1874, at 72 years of age."
