Broken foot stone with initials - N. W. (not found in 2012) Unknown stones marking graves: 0384/0387/0388/0389/0390/0391/0392/0393/0428/0431/0432/0466/0467/0468/0469/0470/0471 * If the stone is left on the ground it will continue to quickly crumble as roots were invading the top layer where the inscription resides pushing the inscription off the stone. If stood up it may dry and survive a little longer. I chose to leave it standing but agonized over the decision, because gravity will cause some of the inscription to fall off. What it needs is to soon be embedded face up with only a 1/4 inch of the top face of the stone above a fluid solution of white cement mix, Hydrated lime and white sand. In this case do not let the top face of the stone sink below the surface and cover the inscription. That makes for building a difficult to construct wooden form and maybe props under the back of the stone while the mix dries enough to peel off.
