This is the Old William Stephens homeplace. He died in 1859. There are
parts of several markers but no grave marker is in place enough to read complete.

Unknown grave marker parts. One seems to be a base: 1675
4 bases of unknown monuments: 1677/1678
Base of large unknown monument:1680
*It may be that Photo # 1672, 1673 & 1674 are part of 2 different monuments and that 1672 makes up one and 1673,1974 another. The breakage seams do not seem to match up.
I am told by Mr. Quarles the current land owner that this cemetery was bulldozed by a previous owner from the open field and pushed up against this treed area and left. That seems consistent with the wide variety of parts and sections of stones in various positions and places. Nothing matches up to a grave that I can tell.
