SHULER, William M., 1833 - 18 Feb 1862, s/o Peter Shuler & Martha Rushing Shuler. Enlisted in Confederate States Army, Co. D, 3rd Tenn Volunteer Infantry, organized at Lynnville, TN on May 16, 1861. Killed during Battle of Fort Donelson, buried under large oak tree, never returned to family in Shuler Hollow.** Fort Donelson Map
