Obituary:
Mr. James William Stanford, 88, of Goodspring died April 11, 2000, at
Hillside Hospital in Pulaski. A Giles County native, Mr. Stanford was born
May 26, 1911,
and was the son of the late Samuel Register and Zona Maude McDougal
Stanford. He was married to the late Myrtle Stanford. He was a retired
farmer, a veteran of
the U. S. Army and was a member of Scotts Hill Baptist Church. Funeral
services were held April 12 at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home Chapel in
Lawrenceburg with
Marvin Nelson officiating. Burial was in Old Shores Cemetery in Goodspring.
Survivors include daughter Carolyn Smith of Goodspring; brother Winston
Stanford of Pulaski; sister Quilla Tankersley of Pulaski; and two
grandchildren.

Obituary:
Mrs. Myrtle Leona Stockman Stanford, 88, of Goodspring died April 8, 1998,
at NHC Health Care in Pulaski. Mrs. Stanford was a native of Giles County
and the
daughter of the late Charles Madison and Nora Lee Phillips Stockman. She was
a member of Scotts Hill Baptist Church. Services were held Friday at Pettus-
Turnbo Funeral Home in Lawrenceburg with Marvin Nelson officiating. Burial
was in Old Shores Cemetery in Giles County. Survivors include her husband,
James W. Stanford of Goodspring; daughter Carolyn J. Smith of Goodspring;
brother Cecil Stockman of Pulaski; sisters, Belle Knox of Knoxville, Bertie
Adcock of Birmingham, Ala.; and two grandchildren.
