	Obituary:
	Mr. Junus Gifford Smith, 67, of Pulaski, died Monday, Jan. 13, 1992, at 
	Pulaski Health Care Center. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 15, 
	at Carr
	and Erwin Chapel with James Prewitt officiating. Burial was in Old Shores 
	Cemetery. Mr. Smith was a native of Giles County, the son of the late 
	Charlie and Lizz
	Childress Smith and was married to the late Virginia Marie Phillips Smith. 
	He was a veteran of World War II and retired from Fafnir. Survivors include 
	one daughter,
	Joan Hocker of Santa Fe, Tenn.; three brothers, Solomon Smith of Columbia, 
	Archie Smith of Pulaski, Cecil Smith of Detroit, Mich.; four sisters, Kay 
	Shelton
	and Sarah Kolwaski, both of Portland, Oregon, Janie Hunt and Polly Thompson, 
	both of Oklahoma; two grandchildren.

	Obituary:
	Mrs. Virginia Marie Smith, 64, of Pulaski, died Saturday, June 15, 1991, at 
	Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia. Funeral services were held Monday, June
	17, at Carr and Erwin Chapel with James Prewitt officiating. Burial was in 
	Shores Cemetery. A native of Tennessee, Mrs. Smith was the daughter of the 
	late Spencer
	and Lizzie Jones Phillips. Survivors include her husband, Gifford Smith of 
	Pulaski; one daughter, Joan Smith Hocker of Santa Fe; two brothers, Milas 
	Phillips of
	Columbia, Jimmy Phillips of North Carolina; three sisters, Nina Cole of 
	North Carolina, Corene Keeter and Dorothy Arnold, both of Lawrenceburg; two
	grandchildren.
