  NORWOOD, Charles N. S. 16 Nov 1833 24 
	Nov 1862, CSA Company C, 32nd Tennessee Infantry (s/o William Mitchell 
	"Billy" Norwood, Jr. & Lucinda Larwood Norwood)
	
	(Charles N. S. Norwood served in the Civil War on the Confederate side in 
	Company C, 32nd TN Infantry. Enlisted 1 Dec 1861 at Bridgeport. Was captured 
	at Fort Donelson 16 Feb 1862. Was exchanged and sent to Murfreesboro, TN and 
	died there 5 Nov 1862. This source can be found on roll #252 CSA at the 
	Tennessee State Archives.

	Charles N. S. Norwood served in the Civil War on the Confederate side in 
	Company C, 32nd Tennessee Infantry. He enlisted 1 December 1861 at 
	Bridgeport and was captured at Fort Donelson 16 February 186 2, was 
	exchanged and sent to Murfreesboro, TN and died there 5 November 1862. This 
	can be found on Roll #252 CSA at Tennessee State Archives. He asked a friend 
	to see that he was brought back to Giles County, Tennessee to be buried.
	
	Known as "Big Jobe". Died near Murfreesboro, Tennessee while serving with 
	the Confederate Army shortly before the Battle of Stones River. Cause of 
	death is uncertain but most likely due to disease which was not uncommon for 
	soldiers at the time. Grandson of William M. Norwood, Sr. and Susannah Smith 
	Norwood; Son of William Norwood Jr. and Lucinda Larwood, Husband of Salina 
	M. "Lena" Garner Norwood; Children: Jobe Garner "Little Jobe" Norwood, 
	William R. Norwood, Elmira J. Norwood.
