This view is looking southwest at the three of the Van Cleave memorials and further out Calvert memorials. This is near the northern edge and the eastern part of the cemetery. We see the livestock path in this photo also.

This view Looks at the massive Capt James Wade Nowlin family memorial in the eastern part of the cemetery. This stone is surrounded by Rose bushes and that has preserved it against vandals and livestock pushing it over. A memorial like that today would cost at least $100,000 and we chose to ignore its historical value & beauty. While the tendency on my part is to want to cut the brush it is better left to the protection of the thorns.

We are looking at the fallen Brown memorials, and others such as the Nowlin & Orr memorials.
