View looking northwest up at the grove of Cedar & Hardwood trees in the center of the photo where the Old Bear Creek Cemetery is located. I believe the slight sink in the ground indicates possibly an old road bed that led up to the cemetery. There is an old barn on our right next to the road. There is a chain link fence around the cemetery but much of it is mashed to the ground by livestock and fallen trees.
This view was taken standing at the gate up to
the cemetery. We are looking southwest at one of the farms in the neighborhood.
Bear Creek Road is on our left.
Standing at the top of the hill on the western edge of the cemetery near the
fence yields this image. The stones do not stand out since they blend with the
surrounding brush and are brown to gray in color.
