OLD BEAR CREEK CEMETERY, MAURY COUNTY 1807-1836, MARSHALL COUNTY Aft. 1836.

This stone is out by itself and I believe that is the broken footstone on the left.

Another "batman" style stone with death dates between 1851 and 1858 and it is crumbling at the bottom, probably soon to be crumbling all over.


ORR, Thomas, 1 Nov 1797 - 1 Oct 1853. 55-11-00. 
Inscription: "IN -- memory of Thomas -- Orr. born -- Nov. 1st 1797. died -- Oct 1st 1853 -- Aged 55 years -- 11 months."
Careful on the 3 versus 5 in the above death year date. The top bar on a five is reduced for a three and a thin bar from the top right end to the center forms the top of the three so that the death date above is absolutely a "3".
