Mrs. Joyce Eilene Andrews, 73, of Frankewing died Nov. 4, 2006, at Maury Regional Hospital. Mrs. Andrews was born Dec. 12, 1932, in Chicago, Ill. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jewell and Mary Elizabeth Andrews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home. Burial will be in Frankewing Cemetery. Survivors include son Danny R. Robinson of Frankewing; brother Ray Andrews of Illinois; sister Shirley George of Illinois; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Clara Zimmerman Bass, 71, well known resident of the county, who died at 5:30 o'clock Sunday morning, June 12, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lewis B. Marks in Fayetteville, were held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Frankewing Presbyterian Church. Rites were conducted by the Rev. T. W. Mayhew, pastor of the Methodist Church at Fayetteville and burial took place in the family lot in Mt. Zion Cemetery. She has an extended illness. Mrs. Bass was born October 4, 1877 in Lincoln County and was the daughter of the late Hugh L. Zimmerman and Margaret Cunningham Zimmerman. She was a member of the Frankewing Presbyterian Church, having resided in Giles County the greater part of her life. Her husband, Woodley A. Bass died in 1941. Mrs. Bass is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Marks; two sons, James Bass, Miami, Fla., and John Bass, cashier of the Frankewing Bank; six grandchildren and two sister, Mrs. Rena Weaver, Chickasha, Okla., and Mrs. Bessie Hadwell, Byrnum, Texas.

Funeral services for Woodlief Alfred Bass, aged 80 years, retired farmer and former director of the Frankewing Bank, who died at his home at Frankewing Sunday evening, were held at 2:30 o'clock Monday at the Presbyterian Church at Frankewing, with the Rev. J. Walter Cobb, of Memphis, conducting the rites, assisted by the Rev. G. H. Turpin. Interment took place at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Mr. Bass, a son of the late James and Sara Bass, was born and reared in the Pisgah community, where he grew to manhood. A number of years ago he moved to the Frankewing community where he was one of the leaders in civic and religious affairs. Mr. Bass, a former director of the Bank of Frankewing was the only surviving member of the group who formed the bank a number of years ago. Mr. Bass is survived by his wife, Mrs. Clara Zimmerman Bass; two sons, John Bass, cashier of the Frankewing Bank, and James Bass, of Miami, Fla.; and one daughter, Mrs. L. B. Marks, of Fayetteville; two grandchildren, L. B. Marks, Jr., and Faye Jean Marks; and one brother, Gus Bass, of Giles County.

Former County Commissioner and retired educator Buford Beadle died Monday unexpectedly Monday afternoon, 28 Sep 1994. Mr. Beadle, 69, collapsed with an apparent heart attack while working with the Frankewing Lions Club in its Adopt-a-Highway trash pickup along Highway 64 east of Frankewing. He was pronounced dead on arrival at Hillside Hospital. A veteran of 42 years in the education profession, Mr. Beadle retired as an administrator at Blanche Junior High School in Lincoln County after teaching and coaching for 10 years at Beech Hill School. A graduate of Giles County High School, Martin Methodist College, Middle Tennessee State University and George Peabody College, Mr. Beadle also was a Navy veteran of World War II. Mr. Beadle also served one term, 1990-1994, representing the Fourth District on the Giles County Commission. A three-time former president and charter member of the Frankewing Lions Club, Mr. Beadle was actively involved in the club�s annual Red Carpet Horse Show, which he helped grow into a major preliminary to the annual Celebration in Shelbyville. He also was an active member of Frankewing Methodist Church. Funeral services for Mr. Beadle will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Carr and Erwin Chapel with Rev. Terry Smith officiating. Visitation is scheduled noon-9 p.m. Wednesday at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Frankewing Methodist Church. Mr. Beadle was preceded in death by his late wife, Mrs. Mary Willodean Owens Beadle. He is survived by son Buford Dean Beadle II of Texas; two daughters, Debbie Beadle Braden of Frankewing and Jo Evelyn Stacy of Petersburg; brother, Kenneth Beadle of Goodspring; sister Rachel Beadle of Oak Ridge; and 10 grandchildren.

W. M. Birdsong, aged 35, died at Chattanooga, Tn., hospital, Sunday Feb. 2, 1936. He was an employee of Hagen Construction Co., formerly of Pulaski, where he had made his home. The personnel of the company feels a great loss, as he was loved by all his co-workers and is mourned by a wide circle of friends here and in Frankewing. Burial was at the Frankewing Methodist Church of which he was a member. He is survived by his wife, two children, father, mother and several brothers and sisters.

A new marker has been placed in the cemetery at Mt. Zion for Lt. Fred A. Sutton Brown, who was lost in action in World War II. He was a character whom anyone be honored to meet. Our loss and Heaven�s gain when Lt. Brown piloted his ill fated liner and was lost beneath the smoke of destruction to begin a beautiful life in the eternal glory. Yes, Fred is gone, but his precious memories linger and will until the end.

Dock Cameron departed this life April 25, 1935, age 85 years, and 11 days. He had requested us on two different occasions to write him up when he died. I told him I would if I did not die first. He was an honest man and lived a tranquil life, was a member of the Methodist Church . Also a charter member of the bachelors colony organized 1911. He and his brother Al Cameron lived near us for many years. After the death of Al, he went to live with the Lackeys at Bunker Hill. George Lackey married his niece, Miss Edna Massingil, who he helped to raise. Her mother who was a widow, kept house for them at that time, but lived with her daughter after marriage to George Lackey. The boys helped each other and Dock was a fine cook and farmer. I never knew a man more perfect in word and deed than Dock Cameron. Rev. Angel of Pisgah conducted services at Mt. Zion Tuesday. and now his body lies in a beautiful casket in the cemetery near by the church where two of his brothers are buried. And his soul to God who gave it. Had had a long fight of affliction for eighteen months, but had a nurse with good attention. Surviving him are his niece Mrs. Massingil and great-niece, Mrs. George Lackey and her two sons, Earl and Grady, also one niece at McBurg, Mrs. Shirley Prosser. We hope to meet him again where there is no pain or death. The greatest tragedy of life is to get old and afflicted.

This community was sadly shocked when the report came out that the Death Angel claimed D. G. Erwin for its victim. Mr. Erwin was born March 4^th, 1847, died April 20^th, 1907. He had been suffering with a stomach trouble for several years. He became confined to his bed April 12^th, and gradually grew worse. They did everything that loving hands could do to keep him with them but our Heavenly Father knew best and called him from this sinful earth to a world above....His remains were carried to Mt. Zion for interment followed by his loved ones and a host of relativesand friends. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. William Erwin, of Boons Hill.

O. E. Erwin of Frankewing died at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday morning at his home in the Frankewing locality. The burial was at Mt. Zion Wednesday. Mr Erwin was 56 years of age and a good citizen. He is survived by his wife, and two daughters and three brothers, Buford L. Erwin of Nashville and Will and Wyatt Erwin of Giles County and two daughters who live in Akron.

Mr. James David Guthrie, 84, of Frankewing died July 24, 2006, at Hillside Hospital in Pulaski. He was a Navy and Army veteran, serving in World War II, and was a retired truck driver. Funeral services were to have been held today (Thursday) in the chapel of Bennett-May�Giles County Funeral Home with Darrell Lingerfelt officiating. Burial with full military honors was to have been in Frankewing Cemetery. The family suggests memorial donations be made to the funeral home for expenses. He was so completely prostrated he had to be carried home from the field. And died soon after reaching home. Funeral services and burial were at Frankewing, Wednesday at 1:30 o'clock. Mr. Harwell was a good citizen and a good farmer, a member of the large Harwell family of Giles County.

Mrs. H. H. Harwell died at her home in Pulaski April 28, 1921. Mrs. Harwell was born April 14, 1855 and joined the Methodist Church at the age of 16. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nick Holley and was united in marriage to Mr. H. H. Harwell in 1869 and they lived happy together 52 years. She was a devoted wife and loving mother. She was the mother of three children, two daughters and one son. The son and one daughter which have gone on before. One daughter, Mrs. Lula Rose and five grandsons and her devoted husband mourn her death. Also three sisters and three brothers, Mrs. Nancy Bass and Mrs. Josie Harwell of Frankewing, Mrs. Bradford of Texas, Mr. Mack Holley and Garner Holley of Frankewing and William Holley of McBurg and a host of relatives and friends. We say to the bereaved ones to weep not as those that have no hope. But prepare to meet her in that far beyond, where there is no more parting and sad good byes. Miss Sallie, as she was called by everybody, was a good woman and loved by all who knew her. She was laid to rest at Mt. Zion near Frankewing. Rev. Wyatt Harwell and Rev. Parker conducted the funeral services.The bereaved husband and daughter have the sympathy of all.

Obituary: The Pulaski Citizen 20 Jan 1910 �In Memory�

Last Tuesday night death came to the home of Wilkes W. Harwell and carried from earth to heaven his wife and loyal companion Sarah Ozelle Harwell, after a weary week's suffering. Mrs. Harwel was born and reared in Giles County, joined the church at Mt. Zion early in life, was a devout member although in late years she was so weak she couldn't attend like she wanted too, but she loved her church, its members, her pastor and was loyal to God till the last. She was a loving mother who reared her children only as only a Christian mother can. She was a woman of great strength of character, her leading traits being firmness devotion to her family and church, good business judgement was a great help to the bereaved husband. Loyalty and good to her friends and neighbors was the way she lived. She died at the age of 58 years. She was married many years ago and the union was blessed by seven children, five girls and two boys. Our hearts is in sympathy with these dear children. We know there is none can take the place of mother, how you miss that dear old face, how dear she does seem to you but let this be a consolation to you, mother has suffered her last pain, she has only gone on before and is waiting at the beautiful gate for you and me. how sweet will be the words spoken by mother if you all gain heaven to hear her say, they have all come. After funeral services by Rev. Hensley, her pastor, she was laid to rest in Mt. Zion Cemetery where sweet throated birds will sing for years to come, but she will sleep on with nothing to disturb her resting place, but on the morning of resurrection her restless little body will rise clad in garments of white in beautiful robes that we all shall wear. Tom Harwell age 61 years died at his home on March 27, 1928, after a lingering illness of pneumonia. And speaking in the language of his neighbors, Mr. Harwell was a Christian gentleman, honest and upright in his dealing, a good neighbor, a kind, loving husband and father, a man who loved the Lord with all his heart and all his soul and his neighbor as himself. He is survived by his second wife, Mrs. Lucy Harwell and two sons, Clyde Harwell, Frankewing, Clifford Harwell, Louisville, Ky., and one daughter, Mrs. Hattie Harwell and several grandchildren and the following brothers, Lester Harwell, Birmingham, Ala., Albert and Claud Harwell, Huntsville, Ala., Robert and Guy Harwell, near Huntsville, Otis Harwell, Pisgah, Tenn; and John Harwell, Pulaski and one sister, Mrs. Annie Harris in Texas and a host of nieces and nephews. Columbia, Tenn. June 13�Walter M. (Dick) Harwell, 25, of Frankewing, Giles County, was killed this morning when he fell from a truck which was hauling poles for the telephone company. Wheels of either the truck or the trailer on which poles were being hauled went over his head. The resultant jar caused the driver, Vincent Williams of Pulaski, to stop at once, he said, but Harwell was dead when reached. The men were employed by William Taylor, contractor, and were returning from Southport where they had taken a load of poles in the telephone company�s countywide expansion program. Harwell, unmarried, had been employed by the TVA in construction work in the Cleveland area until about a month ago. Member of a well known Giles County family, he was born at Frankewing, son of the late Otey Harwell and Mrs. Annie McLin Harwell. Besides his mother he is survived by his brothers, Malcolm and Raymond Harwell of Frankewing, and his sisters, Mrs. Mary Lou Clark of Madison, Mrs. Catherine Harwell and Mrs. Annie Harris of Frankewing, and Mrs. Elise Creasy of Carter�s Creek.

William McKendree 1816-1893, was a preacher in the Methodist Church. He was married four times. His first wife, Mary Ann Elizabeth (Harwell) Harwell, a cousin died soon after the birth of their son, Dr. John Rufus Harwell. His second wife, Eliza Louisa Nash was the mother of the rest of his children. Viz. Lafayette, Dr. Coleman (Bud, B.C.), Joanna Catherine, William Wilkes, Thomas S., Ausborn Andrew. His third wife was Nancy Ophelia McKnight and was a sister to his fourth wife, Araden (Arrie) McKnight Harwell, widow of Francis McNairy Harwell.

On March 17th, 1914, Esq. Houston surrendered all claims on mortality. He was born at Lewisburg, Marshall County, December 8, 1836, which makes him a little over seventy seven years old at the time of his death. He was in the Civil War, after which he came to Pulaski, and was in the revenue department four years. In 1866, he was married to Miss Sarah Abernathy, and to this union ten children were born, eight daughters and two sons, all of whom survive. But Miss Colle is the only single child at home. After leaving Pulaski, he located at Bradshaw and was elected magistrate in 1882, and served in that capacity twenty-four years. This proves that he was very popular with the people. He became a good judge of law, and his counsel was sought. He was a strongman physically, mentallyand his personalitycommanded respect. He professed faith in Christ about thirty years ago, and has been a faithful soldier of the Cross as a member of the Baptist Church at Center Point. On Tuesday he was at Bradshaw store and took dinner with his son, Bud Houston and wife and walked home in the afternoon, took a seat by the fire and told his wife that he felt better. But in a few minutes Mrs. Houston, who was seated near by, heard him make a noise, she then spoke to him, but he made no answer. She called her daughter, but all was over, the Lamp of Life had gone out, leaving his wife and daughter alone in their solitude. A large crowd attended the funeral, which was conducted by Rev. J. H. Holmes and Maut Harwell at Zion. Much sympathy is extended to the bereaved family, and may the hand of God's providence guide them to the end.

Mr. Houston was found dead in the bathroom of his home about one o�clock on Wednesday afternoon, October 21, with his death attributed to natural causes. His wife, Mrs. Florence Campbell Houston, died several years ago. Born April 12, 1884, in Giles County, he was the son of the late Fred Newton Houston and Sarah Abernathy Houston, and was a member of the Thompson Chapel Baptist Church. Obituary: The Giles County Record 15 Nov 1933 The death angel came to the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Houston of Pulaski, Thursday morning and claimed for his own Mrs. F. N. Houston. She was born March 16, 1848 and died November 9, 1933. She had been blind for thirty-five years. Song and prayer services were conducted at the home by brother Clifford Murphy. The active pall bearers at the home were, R. L. Lewis, Clyde Young, Gilbert Abernathy, Boone May, W. P. Butler and Guy Young. The remains were brought here to Mt. Zion, where brother Wyatt Harwell of Cornersville had charge of the funeral services. The active pall bearers at Mt. Zion were, R. L. Lewis, Clyde Young, Guy Young of Pulaski, Tom Campbell of Pisgah, R. L. Sutton and W. E. Jackson of Frankewing. She was laid to rest in the Mt. Zion Cemetery beside her husband who preceded her to the grave several years ago. A beautiful character from us has gone on to meet her God. How we shall miss her. Death is only a dream, how peaceful the slumber, how happy the awakening. Her chair is vacant. Grandmother no more of your happy smiles from your sweet face we shall see and, no comforting words from your lips. All is silent and oh so lonesome here. But up yonder in Heaven your are happy and rejoicing. We are going to meet you in the sweet bye and bye. Grand daughter.

Charles Newton Luna, Jr., 33, of the Frankewing community, was found dead Sunday, December 11, hanging from a rope in the loft of a barn on his farm. Coroner William Bennett, Jr., called the death a suicide and said Luna hanged himself with a plow line. An employee of Heil-Quaker Corporation at Lewisburg, he had been in ill health and had recently undergone psychiatric treatment. He was a native of Giles County, the son of Mrs. Ada Sutton Luna of Frankewing and the late Charles N. Luna, Sr. and a member of Mt. Zion Methodist Church. Funeral services were held at 2 o�clock Tuesdayafternoon at Bennett-MayFuneral Home with the Rev. Robert Whitsett and the Rev. Lloyd Hickman officiating. Burial was in Maplewood Cemetery. Pfc. Wendell E. Luna, Unites States Marine Corps was killed in action in the performance of his duty and service of his country, according to the message received by his mother, Mrs. Ada S. Luna, Route 1, Frankewing. Pvt. Luna entered service in July, 1940, took part in the battles of Guadalcanal, Cape Gloucester and New Guinea, and at the time of his death had served with the Marines overseas 25 months. Survivors, in addition to his mother, are two sisters, Mrs. Clifford S. Sparks and Mrs. Horace C. Payne, and one brother, Charles N. Luna, Jr., all of Frankewing. The Pulaski Record 27 Oct 1948

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, October 24, for Pfc. Wendell E. Luna at the Frankewing Methodist Church with the Rev. W. L. Harwell officiating. A militaryburial was held at the grave on the church grounds. Pfc. Luna was killed September 23, 1944 while serving with the 7^th Marine Division on _?_ Island. He was hit by a mortar shell while trying to carry to safety a wounded comrade. For this deed he was posthumously awarded the Silver Medal. He was participating in his fourth major battle of the war when he was killed. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Ada Sutton Luna; two sisters, Mrs. Clifford H. Sparks and Mrs. Horace C. Payne; and one brother, Charles N. Luna, Jr.; four nephews, Gerald and Carroll Payne, Frank H. Sparks II, and Charles N. Luna III.

The death of Edward Marks Friday night, August 1, at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Marks, Frankewing, is the occasion of deep sorrow to the relatives and to his host of friends in this community. Edward's death was not unexpected. He had been suffering from Hodgkin disease for about two years and his condition for the past six months has been a source of keen anxiety to relatives and friends. The going of Edward is a great loss to the community. He was fourteen years of age. He hadavery fine disposition and possessed the qualities that would have made him a very useful citizen. He was a member of the Mt. Zion Methodist Church. Edward is survived by father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Marks, one sister, Thelma, and two brothers, Lewis and Harold. James Bass, John Bass, Clifford Russell, Allen Harwell, Julian Smith and Clifford Arney were the pall bearers and Misses Evelyn Storey, Willard Smith, Louise West and Sarah Holley carried the flowers. Funeral services were conducted from Mt. Zion Methodist Church at Frankewing at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon by Rev. S. H. Parks, the pastor and Rev. W. H. Wakefield. Interment was in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Mr. Marks died Friday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Morris Harwell, of Pulaski, after a long illness. He was a native of Giles County, son of Lewis H. and Leona Clark Marks. His wife, the former Bertha Brown, died in 1953. In addition to his daughter, survivors are two sons, J. H. Marks, Frankewing, L. B. Marks, Fayetteville; a half-sister, Mrs. Forrest Godfrey, Giles County; two half-brothers, Adlay Marks, and Kelly Marks, both of Giles County; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. McKnight died of consumption at the home of her son, Bob McKnight, April 23, 1911, aged 68 years. She was not identified with any church, but said that she was prepared to die and expressed herself as being willing to exchange mortality for immortality, to lay down the crown of affliction for a "crown of righteousness." She had spent all of her life around Bradshaw or in Giles county. She was a good neighbor and very loyal to her friends. Her father was Buck Young. She leaves a husband, Frank McKnight, and five sons, Messrs. Jim, Bob, Press, Aud and Charley McKnight. Funeral services were held at Zion MondaybyRev. J. H. Holmes, after which she was buried near the church by the side of her son, Arney McKnight.

Mr. McKnight departed this life at his home in Bradshaw on Thursday night, May 2, 1918, after a brief illness with measles and pneumonia, and was buried Friday afternoon at Mt. Zion, where services were held by Rev. W. M. Cook. There was a very large crowd present to pay their last tribute to one of their native born citizens, whose life had been a life of honest toll in the shop and on the farm. And there was never a time when his service was needed worse than now. But he has laid down the hammer and the plow and has bound rest from all his labors. He was fifty-one years old, and leaves a wife and five children, also four brothers who have great sympathy in their loss. All his children have the measles.

The dawn of each new day brings something to rein and in that happiness in this life is only momentary. For again the dark angel of death has held out its hand and beckoned. So out from the care of relatives and friends and down through the dark valley of the shadow of death went Mrs. John W. McLin July 17, 1937. Mrs. McLin was 62 years of age and has been in declining health for several years. She has fought the battle of life bravely and gallantly. She passed away at the home of her daughter at Madison, Tenn., where everything that loving hands and medical authorities could do for her. She professed religion and joined the Methodist Church at Mt. Zion many years ago. Funeral services were conducted at the Mt. Zion Methodist Church Sunday afternoon by the Rev. Andy Largen and the remains were interred at the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Surviving to mourn her loss is her husband, John W. McLin and six children: Emmett, Marie and Mrs. G. C. Whitfield of Frankewing, Mrs. E. M. Reed of Madison, Lee of Old Hickory and Dave of Nashville. Two sisters andtwo brothers, Mrs. Charles N. Luna; Mrs. B. P. Many nieces and nephews and a host of friends are left to pick up the broken threads and endeaver to live lives to resemble a lighted beacon.

Mrs. Nipp was a remarkable person, an expert antique collector and appraiser, and devoted to her family and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Nathan D. Nipp; parents David W. and Sarah Troxler Dale; sisters, Nannie Bell Haislip, Clara Cheatham, Hallie Mae Conwell, Mary Nona Adams, Iva Sue Davis; and brothers, Ike Dale and Coleman Dale. Mrs. Colie Houston Tallent, 86, Route 4, Pulaski died Wednesday, September 15, 1976 in Lewisburg. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16 at Bennett-May Chapel with burial in Frankewing Cemetery, the Rev. Mack Pinkelton officiating. A native ofGiles County, she was the daughter of the late Newt N. and Sara Abernathy Houston, and widow of the late Henry Tallent. She is survived bythree step-sons, Carl Tallent, Savannah, Tenn., Gilbert Tallent, Pulaski, and Leonard Tallent, Phoenix, Arizona; two step-daughters, Mrs. W. B. Funeral services for Mrs. R. L. Tucker, 62, who died Sunday following an illness of several months at her home at Frankewing, were conducted Monday at the Mt. Zion Methodist Church by the Rev. J. S. Rice and the Rev. Mort Harwell, of Lawrenceburg. Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Mrs. Tucker was formerly Miss Lelia Harwell. She was a member of the Methodist Church and took an active part in Church activities. Survivors are two brothers, the Rev. W. L. Harwell of Cornersville and the E. M. Harwell of Frankewing, and three sisters, Mrs. Lee Follis of Frankewing, Mrs. Kenny Allen and Mrs. Joe Lunn of Lewisburg.

Robert Lee Tucker, farmer of the Frankewing locality, died after an illness of about twelve months, at his residence Sunday. He was 66 years of age. Mr. Tucker had recently undergone an operation in Nashville. Surviving him are his wife, who before her marriage was Miss Lela Harwell, and one brother, Jim Tucker, who lives at Frankewing. Funeral services were held at Mt. Zion Church Monday afternoon at two o'clock and were conducted by the Rev. J. W. Madewell. Burial was at Mt. Zion.

Allen Bert Woodard, 65, died in Giles County Hospital Sunday morning, November 3 at 11 o�clock after a reportedly short illness. Funeral services were conducted at 2 o�clock Tuesday afternoon in the chapel of Bennett-May Funeral Home with the Rev. Mack Pinkelton officiating. Burial was in Frankewing Cemetery. Born in Lincoln County, Mr. Woodard was the son of the late Minnie Houston and Roy Woodard. Survivors, in addition to his wife, Mrs. Cora Hagood Woodard, include six daughters, Misses Elizabeth Anne and Linda Lee Woodard, and Mrs. Betty Irene Jackson, all of Pulaski, Miss Annie Ruth Woodard, Decatur, Ala., Mrs. Peggy Jean Thompson, Lester, Ala., and Mrs. Connie Sue Bishop, Detroit, Mich.; two sons, Wallace H. and Herbert A. Woodard, both of Pulaski; two sisters, Mrs. Rachel Jones, Sweetwater, Texas, and Mrs. Lucile Swinford, Cornersville; two brothers, Herman Woodard of Fayetteville and Brown Woodard of Taft; and seven grandchildren. Bennett-May Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

W. T.Woodard age 82 died at his home in Pulaski Tuesday morning. The funeral services was held at Frankewing Methodist Church Wednesday at 11 o'clock, conducted by the pastor. Rev. J. S. Rice. Burial at Zion. Mr. Woodard had lived in the Frankewing Community most of his life, but a year or so age on account of age, and failing health moved to town. He is survived by children of his first marriage and by his second wife who was Mrs. Gardner, the mother of Roy and Flournoy Gardner of Pulaski.
