MT. MORIAH CEMETERY, (Duck Branch Rd), LINCOLN COUNTY TENNESSEE
The center of the map marks the location of the Mt. Moriah Cemetery. This cemetery is detailed on the USGS records. I believe the GPS coordinates are correct as shown above.
To get to this cemetery from
Fayetteville, go out Hwy 64 east toward Winchester. and turn north or left on
Lynchburg Highway (Hwy 50). follow that highway for 4 or so miles and turn again near the Mulberry Cemetery north on Cedar
Circle (which tracks parallel with High 50) and then turn back north again on Duck Branch Road (a gravel road) and go about a mile
and 1/2 to the top of the hill and the cemetery is under the trees on your left
just before you come out in the clearing. You will notice first the tall
monument of the three Confederate States Army soldiers who died in the Battle of
Franklin during 1864.
This Aerial view shows the cemetery marked with a red check with a small
clearing on your left.
