This is a very interesting cemetery. For one thing it reflects a very old historical settlement in this community called Mary's Grove. Most of the graves here are now unmarked or marked only with fieldstones standing on their end and buried 1/2 way facing east in their respective row of graves.  I found only about 3 or 4 formally carved & inscribed stones and evidence from the above listing there have been others in the past which no longer can be found. Also someone in the past has taken fieldstones and carved inscriptions on them. At first when fresh most of these are readable,  but many cannot now be read because of two reasons (1) the inscription contain errors and also (2) the inscriptions peel off more easily because of using common boulders. Some of the stones have fallen & are broken but largely the fieldstones are still standing which tells us the local owners have respected this plot of land thru out the generations.  The biggest threat this graveyard faces is falling trees.
