We ordinarily post the the ladies under their
marital surname. In this case questions remain as to whether Mattie
Mundy's marital surname is Mundy or Davis. There is a grave with a
footstone M.M., but she is buried under the Davis Headstone. In a
separate grave next to the "MM" is a footstone with the initials M.D.
indicating there are two souls buried here. Let us know if you can
clarify this. WayneAL1@aol.com

(erased) & reused as a current marker. Only inscription readable
is: "In memory of". A foot marker present with no initials:

Unknown souls: Other graves are known to be here
but the vegetative growth was too dense to find them.
These African American graves were installed outside of the fence. It is my opinion the fence is older than the graves.
Photographed on 2 Nov 2011 by C. Wayne Austin. The inscriptions were updated with any exception found or known. This publication culminated from various sources and attempts to portray this cemetery as complete as possible. First it was compiled by Faye Bradford, 5 Nov 2011. Listed on page 134-135 of the book Marshall County Cemeteries by the Tim & Helen Marsh & Ralph Whitesell about 1969. Added here 25 May 2012 by CWA. Findagrave.com has 30 of these listings presented, but few photos.
