Helen Faye Chapman Holley Bennett of Pulaski, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2013.
She was born on June 1, 1936 in Pulaski and was 77 years old. She was surrounded
by her three children and other family members.
Faye spent her early years in the Sumac Community and graduated from Beech Hill
High School before marrying Robert Holley. A longtime bookkeeper, Faye started
work out of high school with Reliable Furniture and the Phosphate Mines. She
spent many happy years at Sundrop Bottling working with wonderful friends. Later
she joined husband Bill Bennett to run Bennett May Funeral Home and Bennett's
Florist. Faye was a member of Second Street Church of Christ. Visitation will be
on Monday, July 1st from 4:00 until 7:00pm at Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral
Home with Bro. Mark Johnson officiating. Graveside service will be on Tuesday,
July 2nd at 11:00am in Maplewood Cemetery. Burial will follow in Maplewood
Cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested to the charity of your choice. She
was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert C. Holley and William "Bill"
Bennett; parents, Clifford and Katholean Wheeler Chapman; brother, Glenn
Chapman.
She is survived by her daughters, Debbie (Billy) Holley Brown of Pulaski, Susan
(Tom) Fitzgibbon of Birmingham Alabama; son, Bobby Dale (Pam) Holley of Pulaski;
4 grandchildren, Trent, Rob, Trey, and Heather; step-daughters, Betty Swam of
Alabama and Sue Sims of New Jersey; along with numerous nieces and nephews
Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home in charge of arrangements for Helen Faye
Chapman Holley Bennett.
