Greg purchased a gun and drove south from his residence in Nashville to the old
Dairy Farm homeplace of his grandparents the Gardner and Mary Austin Hubbell's
to end his life. It is sad that he chose a place of his fond memories for that.
Charles Hubbell who farms the old family farm found his body. He had spoken to
Greg as he pulled up into the old farm and thought everything was OK. So he went
on to the back side of his place near Gibsonville Cemetery to check on his
cattle. He heard the gun shot and went when he returned he found the body in
back of the house.
He was cremated and the ashes maintained for a time then eventually buried (19 Sep 2010) beside his
grandparents Gardner & Mary Hubbell in Lynnville Cemetery just south of
Gardner's grave. Mary (Austin) Hubbell died 16 Sep 2010.
